Dakota & Hayes Fencing Project located at 5710 & 5796 W. Dakota Ave., Fresno, CA 93722 The work is to include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, machinery, permits, certificates, licenses, bonds, insurance, supplies, and services to construct the fencing project. The scope of work includes but not limited to; installation of gates and fencing. WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: A. The "Work" of this Contract consists of fencing improvement for the property on Dakota and Haynes for Central Unified School District. The work consists of removal of existing surface, grading, new 8' chain link fencing, chain link drive gate, chain link walk gate, and concreate improvement. B The project will be constructed of one (1) set of drawings with one (1) specification book. The school will be fully operational while construction is taking place. The lowest bid shall be determined based on the amount of the base bid plus any additive or deductive items. For public works contracts awarded on and after January 1, 2015, those public works projects shall be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. As of March 1, 2015, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to submit a bid or to be listed in a bid proposal subject to the requirements of California Public Contract Code, Section 4104, unless currently registered and qualified under California Labor Code, Section 1725.5, to perform public work as defined by Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 (1720 et seq.) of the California Labor Code. As of April 1, 2015, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to enter into, or engage in the performance of, any contract of public work (as defined by Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 (1720 et seq.) of the California Labor Code) unless currently registered and qualified under California Labor Code, Section 1725.5, to perform public work. Time of completion for the Project shall be Thirty (30) calendar days from the date established in the Owner's Notice to Proceed. The retention on this project is Five Percent (5%). Submission Cut Off Date = (Deadline for Application submission to online) * 05/07/2025 The bidder shall have a Class "A or B or C-13" license and shall maintain that license in good standing through Project completion and all applicable warranty periods. This Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and investigative activities by the Compliance Monitoring Unit ("CMU") of the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California ("DIR"). The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity and to reject any or all bids. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof or any authorized postponement thereof. The Owner reserves the right to take more than sixty (60) days to decide regarding the rejection of bids or the award of the Contract. All new 8' high chain link fences should be temporary and concreate footing is not required. Install all chain link gate per the details on the plan. Contractor will not be required to grade the site to propose the finish grade prior to the placement of the temporary fence. Time of Completion - 65 calendar days '; Liquidated Damages - 500.00 per calendar day.
