Renovation of a water / sewer project in Mathis, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Improvements on this unit price Contract include Base Bid - Schedule 'A' Generator Improvements at Water Treatment Plant. The work consists of providing and installing a 500 KW generator, feeder, and reinforced concrete foundation, automatic transfer switch, main service disconnect, conduit and wire, and miscellaneous electrical appurtenances. Base Bid - Schedule 'B' Generator Improvements at Lake Corpus Christi work consists of providing and installing a 150 KW generator, feeder, and reinforced concrete foundation and apron, automatic transfer switch, main service disconnect, chain-link security fence, conduit and wire, and miscellaneous electrical appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the highest amount bid must accompany each proposal. Failure to provide the bid bond will constitute a non-responsive proposal which will not be considered. Failure to provide the required performance and payment bonds for contracts over $25,000.00 will result in forfeiture of the 5% bid bond to the City as liquidated damages. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Bids may be held by the City of Mathis for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. The City of Mathis reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept the bid which, in the City's opinion, seems most advantageous to the City and in the best interest of the Public.
