Provide three concrete pads for training. The bid package is structured for a base bid and two option bids. The Base bid includes a 90'x20' concrete pad for the structural props. Bid option one will be a 90'x40' pad for the auto extraction. Finally, the pad for housing the hazardous material will be Bid option two and will be 80'x30'. a. Insall silt fence. b. Strip vegetation to the depth required to remove roots and spread on site in a manner that does not disrupt the natural ground drainage. c. Excavate subgrade to depths required to achieve final elevations of the aggregate base course and the concrete pad surface. d. Water condition subgrade and compact to a 95% Standard Proctor Density. e. Install a 6 inch thick aggregate base course. Aggregate shall be compacted to achieve a solid surface free of pumping and when compaction is no longer noticeable when traversed with a minimum of an 8,000 lb, smooth drum, vibratory roller under a vibration load. f. Form concrete pads and install dowels and wire panels per drawings and specifications. g. 1/2 " diameter smooth dowels, 12 inches long shall be installed into existing pad, one foot on center. Drill 6 inches into the center of the existing pad. Grease one end of the dowel. Insert greased end of dowel and dowel cap into the existing pad. h. Install a five inch thick, 4,000 psi PCC mix. i. Pads shall have a slope of 1/4 inch per foot away as shown in the drawings. j. Testing of PCC shall comply with specifications. k. Concrete shall have a light broom finish. l. Backfill around pads. Use aggregate base material where slab access shall join aggregate driveways. Use excavated soils where backfill will ajoin vegetated areas. Backfill shall be gently graded a minimum distance of 5 feet to direct water away from the pad. Prevailing Wages Apply. Contract duration = 89 calendar days
