The City of Altus is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the design, supply, and installation of a new ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection system for its municipal wastewater treatment plant. The new UV system will be installed in an existing concrete channel that previously housed a now inoperable UV system. The selected system must effectively disinfect treated wastewater to meet all regulatory requirements, 1. Each vendor submitting a proposal will be responsible for evaluating the existing UV station to include concrete channel and UV building and taking measurements as needed to assess suitability for replacement system and identify what modifications (if any) are required for the proposed UV system. This shall include evaluating and/or testing the air blower, jib crane, UV shields and any other existing components that might be used for the new system. 2. The selected vendor will design and furnish a UV System with all necessary equipment, control panels, PLC, and any ancillary components. The proposal shall include a list of required modifications needed in the channel, building or otherwise to accommodate the proposed UV system. 3. The selected vendor shall advise and/or assist in the bid process for selecting a qualified contractor to install the proposed UV system and shall inspect the work and conduction testing and start-up of the new system. 4. The selected vendor shall provide an Operation & Maintenance Manual and conduct a minimum of 8 hours of on-site training for City operators.
