Altus Fire Station 3 The Work consists of site work, sidewalk and site concrete paving, building concrete footings and slab, brick and CMU masonry, metal building framing, metal panels, painting, hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum storefront, sectional doors, standing seam metal roof, insulation, signage, mechanical, electrical, fire suppression, and plumbing. The Mayor and the City Council shall consider all bids prior to the award of the contract. The City Council may consider award of the bid on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025. The City Council may table item to a subsequent meeting for comparison and computation. Responses will be issued to bidding General Contractors via an Addendum. Bidders must include a return address on the top left-hand corner of the envelope. All bids shall be typewritten or in ink. The following documents comprise the complete bid package and must be submitted. Incomplete bid packages will be rejected. Bid Form Bid Bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. Business Relationships Affidavit Non-Collusion Affidavit Certification of Pre-bid Site Inspection The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to study all bids for thirty (30) days prior to bid award. Bids received more than ninety six (96) hours before the time set for opening of bids, or any bid received after the time set for the opening of bids, shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened. The City does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or handicap status, in; employment decisions, the procurement of services, the selection of suppliers or awarding of bids and/or contracts. Awards shall be based on a determination of the lowest qualified bid. "Qualified" is a determination by the City regarding the capability of the bidder to perform the work in good faith, with integrity and reliability as well as the materiality of the bidder's errors, omissions, or exceptions (if any). Sales Tax Exemption. Title 68, Oklahoma Statutes (1991), Section 1356(1), exempts sales to municipalities and their contractors from sales taxes on the sale of "tangible personal property or services." All bids for City projects shall be assumed to have been made based on such statutory exemption as effective on the bid date.
