Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Santa Monica, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The vendor shall provide and install of approximately 100-125 real-time information displays at Big Blue Bus stops. The units shall, at minimum, be able to display real-time bus arrival information as well as other pertinent trip or agency information. The final number of display units will be based on cost proposals. The units will be installed by the Contractor onto Big Blue Bus's standard bus stop poles. Background Big Blue Bus, a service of the City of Santa Monica, operates 18 routes and has more than 900 stops, primarily in the cities of Santa Monica and Los Angeles. In 2023, Big Blue Bus (BBB), conducted a passenger experience survey that asked riders to provide feedback on the state of passenger amenities at Big Blue Bus stops. This survey and the preceding Bus Stop Inventory project are a component of BBB's Better Blue Bus Stops program. This program's goal is to enhance Bus Stop Amenities over the next three years. Results from the survey reached over 1,000 virtual and in-person responses. Overall, passengers provided feedback that deemed stops to be average at best. Survey participants did note specific stops and what type of amenities they wanted to see improved. The number one most requested passenger amenity to enhance passenger experience was real-time information signs. Currently, BBB owns 195 real-time information signs throughout our service area. BBB also works with partner agencies to reflect real-time arrivals at stops where the partner agency has a real-time display at a shared stop. The signs currently in operation reflect two different types of technologies, a combination of solar powered and long-life battery, e-paper displays and solar powered, LED displays. The deployed signs will be in operation alongside the new displays stemming from this RFP. The units shall, at minimum, be able to display real-time bus arrival information as well as other pertinent trip or agency information.
