As of June 18, 2025, the project was awarded to Bradbury Stamm Construction but the awarded amount is not available. The work is to Demolish the UNM Humanities Building to prepare the existing site for UNM to build a new Humanities Building (currently in design). The work will include securing the site, relocation of some equipment, abatement of the building, disconnecting utilities, and demolishing the building and removal of all spoils. The work will include some removal of concrete and other site improvements that will have to be replaced per UNM Project specifications. The work is in the center of UNM Main Campus and has the potential to be disruptive to the learning environment. As such, the work areas will need to be fenced off with a six foot temp. fence and appropriate safety regulations must be coordinated with the university. Coordination of traffic coming and going from the site will be required to ensure the safety of students and faculty as well as minimize the disruption. A Pre-proposal conference will be held to determine the most current site conditions and safety concerns. All questions including technical questions regarding the RFP must be submitted electronically and should be through the Q&A Board.
