New construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a 366,217-square-foot, 28-story above grade, 377-unit multi-residential development; and two-story below grade parking garage.
Construction of a 28-storey apartment building with 296 units in total. No development is proposed in the existing park located at 801 Wellington Street West (Wellington Park). Parking is proposed within 2 levels below-grade. Properties are: 53 Strachan Avenue, 801 and 805 Wellington Street West. TIMELINE: Preliminary planning is ongoing. A city-initiated Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning application has been submitted for approval; application remains under review. A Request for Proposals (RFP) for architecture and prime consultant services for Phase 1 only (mid-rise; supportive housing) has been issued by the owner; RFP details are followed on a separate report. Per the city's Toronto Builds report, construction is currently targeted in 2028 at the earliest.
