Renovation of a residential development in Edinburg, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Reconstruction of one (1) Residence located at , Lot Number Seventeen (17), in Block One (1), In the Victory Subdivision according to the plat filed of record in Vol 8, Page 11, Map Records, Hidalgo County, Texas." All bidders must be on the Housing Assistance Program Approved Contractors List. Existing home must be demolished. The Housing Assistance Program works towards improving the overall living conditions in the community by leveraging funds provided by federal, state, and local agencies. This project entails the reconstruction of one single family home located within the City in an effort to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing. This project is being funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Respondents are required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11236 and Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Respondents must also comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504, Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise standards, affirmative action requirements, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Copeland "Anti-Kickback" Act, Contract and Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Federal Labor Standards Provisions, Section 3 requirements, and all contract procurement provisions listed in 2 CFR Part 200, Appendix II, as applicable. Respondents must comply with Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, 41 USC 8301, and all applicable rules and notices, as may be amended, if the project meets the monetary threshold noted in the bidding documents. Respondents choosing to bid or provide proposals on Federally Funded projects must be currently REGISTERED and ACTIVE in the System for Awards Management (SAM) database, at the time of bid opening. A bid guarantee equivalent to five percent (5%) of the bid price will be required from each bidder. The "bid guarantee" shall consist of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check or other negotiable instrument accompanying a bid as assurance that the bidder will upon acceptance of his/her bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time specified. A performance bond on the part of the contractor for one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. A "payment bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment, as required by law, of all persons supplying labor and material in execution of the work provided for in the contract documents. The City of Edinburg reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or technicalities and to accept the Bid deemed most advantageous to the City, and hold the Bid for a period of 60 days without taking action. The City of Edinburg reserves the right to reject any or all BIDs, to waive any or all formalities or technicalities, and to make such awards of contract as may be deemed to be the best and most advantageous to the City of Edinburg.
