Site work and paving for a road / highway in East Tawas, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Place an HMA Overlay at a rate of 165 lbs/syd. Transitions to existing street pavements to be a cold milled butt joint. Transition to existing HMA drives to be a 5" long taper. Vegetation to be removed along the edge of all street segments prior to paving to accommodate 12" shoulders. Streets to be swept clean and tack coated per specifications prior to HMA placement. 22A shoulder gravel to be placed 12" wide after paving, graded to final pavement surface and transitioned to existing grade. The City of East Tawas is seeking bid proposals for multiple road paving overlay projects. The City of East Tawas has a local preference policy and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, whichever is deemed in the best interest of the City.
