Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Tucson, Arizona. Working plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
As of August 25, 2025, Project is still in negations. SCOPE OF WORK - The City of Tucson has received federal earmarks for multiple projects located within the El Pueblo Center located at 101 West Irvington Road. The scope of work for the project is to undertake all necessary design, engineering, estimating, review, drawings, specifications based on City provided concepts and programs. Construction documents should be provided at 75% and 100% in addition to final sealed/permitted documents. Construction administration services should be provided for the duration of the project. The El Pueblo Center Revitalization project will enhance these outdated facilities in five key areas: 1. Day care facility. Interior and exterior improvements to a former daycare facility to bring it up to code and make it viable for a new daycare operation. The Federal funding will be used to update interiors with new flooring, amenities, furnishings, as well as improve the outdoor learning environment and perimeter safety. 2. Office building space. Tenant improvements to 26,000 square feet of office/program space for use by City of Tucson program staff and not-for-profit organizations that provide housing, health and wellness programs and services to the community. The Federal funding will be used to remodel the building, improve fire suppression systems, make ADA improvements, repair/replace the roof, make electrical improvements and furnish the spaces. Please reference the provided concept "El Pueblo Center Facility Improvements" sheet numbers sd01 and sd02. 3. Hi-tech/hi-flex classrooms. The project includes coordinating with Pima Community College to develop two classrooms that will serve as hi-tech/hi-flex computer labs that will be used to offer youth and adult programs in business, integrated technology, cyber security, SWIFT coding, logistics, and more. Federal funding will be used to purchase classroom furniture, computer equipment, instructor workstations, and install technology upgrades. 4. Wayfinding. Federal earmark 2 includes funding for improvements to wayfinding throughout the El Pueblo Center campus. This will include new signage, changing vehicular circulation, lighting, enhanced pedestrian crossings, and improved pedestrian and bike circulation throughout the campus. Please reference the provided concept "El Pueblo Center Campus Improvements" sheet number x1.5. 5. Event Plaza. Federal earmark 3 includes funding for an outdoor event plaza that will act as a flexible space for community events. It will include shade, seating, and lighting. Please reference the provided concept "El Pueblo Center Campus Improvements" sheet number x1.5. These improvements will create a new splashpad connected to the pool, additional walking paths, new restroom, and parking lot improvements. The combination of park improvements and El Pueblo Center Revitalization improvements will further expand much need recreational and educational opportunities and childcare services on the El Pueblo campus. The improvements to the park and Senior Center are not park of the scope for this solicitation.
