Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Lyon Township, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
The Scope of Work includes removal of Bridge No. 40700191 on Kiel-Lyon Road over Bucklick Creek. A new single span bridge will be constructed in the same location. The work includes bridge removal, excavations, steel pile, bridge construction, roadway embankments, new asphalt pavement. and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. Franklin County anticipates issuing notice to proceed in the summer of 2025. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Any questions regarding this project must be submitted to: mspalding@cochraneng.com, by 4:00 pm local time on June 10, 2025. No written questions after this date or any verbal questions will be recognized. The DBE Contract Goal for this project is 4%, and DBE firms must be certified by MoDOT to attain credit towards this contract goal. There is no On the Job Trainee goal. The Owner Intends to Award the Contract to the Lowest, Responsive, Responsible Bidder. the Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, and to Waive Any Irregularities in the Best Interest of the Owner With Modots Consent.
