Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Spring Hill, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Staff has applied for a Surface Transporation Block Grant as a funding source for this project. The existing street is a two-lane street approximately 23' wide without curb and gutter, with open ditches along both sides of the street. The existing street has centerline and edge pavement markings. The proposed improvements include complete reconstruction to standard collector street with curb and gutter, sidewalks, enclosed storm sewer system, pavement marking, signing, street lighting and intersection improvements. The area along 207th Street has multiple proposed developments which will include housing and commercial projects. These projects may include contributions to the street improvements from the developer as well as special benefit districts to fund the needed improvements for the increased traffic in the area.
