KDOT is requesting a change of the intersection of 223rd & Webster Street including adding a traffic signal to help regulate traffic between 169 highway and Webster Street. Additionally, there is property in this area available for additional development which will justify the investment in improvements to support this growth. The City has applied for a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant to realign Webster Street at 223rd and add the signalization. This project is at the request of KDOT and developers interested in the area. The scope of this project is not yet completely defined and may evolve as other plans are made for this area of the City.
