**As of August 19th, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on September 11th, 2025.** The City operates a 1.25 MGD (million gallons per day) wastewater treatment facility (WWTF). With additional capacity in nearby lagoons, the City's wastewater system has a total available capacity of 1.5 MGD. The existing plant currently operates flows of approximately 650,000 gallons per day. The City of Spring Hill has experienced significant growth. Based on a wastewater study completed in 2024, the City plans to construct a new WWTF that can initially treat up to 5 MGD. The new wastewater facility needs to be operational by August 2028. The City will be utilizing the alternative project delivery method of Progressive Design Build to accommodate the project schedule. The purpose of this Early Notice is to allow designers and contractors time to develop their teams and strategies for responding once the full Request for Qualifications is released in June.
