The intersection improvements at the intersection of 5th and Capitol consist of the removal of existing pavement, sidewalk, lighting, and street appurtenances in the existing right of way as shown on the plans. The improvements extend approximately 186 ft. along 5 th Street and the curb lines are moved in, removing parking in these areas. The proposed improvements consist of the installation of concrete pavers in the adjacent flexible use areas and the crosswalks, new pavement in the intersection, several planting beds located in each quadrant of the intersection, installation of new traffic signals and lighting, and providing or repairing water services (CWLP).
