Renovation of a mixed-use development in Estero, Florida. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and playground / park / athletic field.

As of7/11/2025 the project has been cancelled and will rebid. The Village of Estero, FL, in good faith, invites the submission of sealed proposals from interested and qualified for-profit or not-for-profit corporations, partnerships, or registered joint ventures authorized to do business in the state of Florida to present SportsPark Security Systems proposals to the Village of Estero, Fl. The Firm must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to complete all work to the Village's quality standards. Question Deadline 06/05/2025 at 11:00 AM ET Questions and proposals must be submitted online Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (W/MBE) companies are encouraged to submit a proposal. Persons with disabilities requiring reasonable accommodation to participate in any aspect of this RFP should contact the Village Clerk at (239) 221-5035 as promptly as possible to allow the Village to examine the request and determine what, if any accommodations are possible. Until recently, the Village of Estero did not own any property or buildings. Over the past few years and in the coming years the Village is expecting to build serval public buildings and three public access parks. With these new facilities coming online the Village is seeking to implement a comprehensive security system at all buildings and on all Village owned properties. The following is a list of buildings and properties where the security system will be implemented over the next several years. Additions sites are expected to be added in the future. _ Village Hall: 9401 Corkscrew Palms Circle (this facility is leased) _ Estero Entertainment Campus: _ Estero SportsPark: _ Estero RiverPark: _ River Oaks Preserve: Facilities & Security Needs Each of the Village facilities are expected have different security needs based the facility itself and how it will be used by the public. Following is a summary of each facility and potential security needs. This is not an exhaustive list and is only provided to introduce firms to the Village's facilities. Selected firms will help the Village refine security needs at each facility. _ Village Hall: Main point of public interaction; requires entry access tracking, video monitoring of lobby, reception, and service counters. _ Estero Entertainment Campus A commercial area with a variety of sports and entertainment uses that will function as an extension of the SportsPark. This will be a high traffic area that will see extensive use throughout the day. This area is expected to require surveillance cameras, incident logging, and flexible monitoring zones. No access control is expected. Each commercial operator will provide access control to their respective buildings separate from the Village. _ Estero SportsPark: A regional sports and recreation destination that will used for high school sports, local recreational sports, regional sports tournaments and public events. The implemented security system will need to account for relatively light usage on a daily basis and large sports tournaments and large public events that will draw large number of people to the facility. A concept plan for the SportsPark has been attached. This plan shows the types of facilities that are proposed. The SportsPark shares facilities with Estero High School. The security system will need to integrate with the needs of the High School regarding their needs including access control. This facility is expected to require access control to all gates and buildings, surveillance cameras, and flexibility to work with large and small events. _ River Oaks Preserve: A preserve that is operated and maintained by the Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society. Public access to the property will be provided in the future after tails, parking lot and restroom facilities are developed on the property. A concept plan for the River Paks Preserve has been attached. This plan shows the types of facilities that are expected at the preserve. The facility is expected to require access controls on all gates and building doors as well as surveillance cameras on the main entry gate and restroom building. _ Estero River Park: A passive recreational park/preserve that will include access off Highland Ave/County Rd, a parking area, restroom building, bridge over the Estero River and a natural trail on the south side of the river. The park will be expanded in the future to include additional tails and a perimeter fence. Purpose The purpose of this solicitation is to select a security system that the Village will deploy at Village facilities to control access and improve security. _ To improve operational efficiency through automated access control and ability for digital recordkeeping. _ To provide scalable and user-friendly systems that can adapt to future facility additions or technology upgrades. _ To offer a unified platform that supports centralized monitoring, seamless integration with existing municipal networks, and secure remote access by authorized personnel. This facility is expected to require access controls on all gates and building doors as well as surveillance cameras on the restroom building. The security system needs the capability to expand to include additional access control and cameras for future buildings and gates. _ Public Works & Maintenance Yards: In the future, the Village may acquire a maintenance yard to store public works equipment and materials. This facility would have very limited public access. This facility is expected to require access control on all gates and building doors as well as surveillance cameras that cover the entire property.
