The City of Grinnell is seeking a qualified Consultant for engineering and consulting services for the design of a restoration project at Arbor Lake and Lake Nyanza in the City of Grinnell, Iowa (Appendix A; page 2). The selected firm shall provide engineering and consulting services for the construction of watershed (Phase 2) and in-lake practices (Phase 3) of the project. The selected firm (Consultant) will be working for City of Grinnell (City) in consultation with project partners from the Iowa DNR Lake Restoration and Fisheries programs. The overall scope of work for this restoration project will include multiple Phases; however, this RFP is specifically for planning, engineering, permitting, cost estimation, and easement acquisition services for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the project. Total anticipated costs for watershed and in-lake engineering design described in this RFP is $760,000 - $840,000. Total construction cost for both the watershed and in-lake work are anticipated to cost between $3,500,000 and $4,250,000. The emailed questions and requests for clarification must be received by Jordan Allsup, Parks & Recreation Director before May 23, 2025.
