The New Lenox Community Park District is requesting proposals for site improvements for Sharon's Bay Park Redevelopment. Please direct questions to Ms. Jennifer Kelliher at jkelliher@planres.com The project consists of: Selective removal and demolition of existing concrete curb, walkways, asphalt pavement, play surfacing (Engineered Wood Fiber), site furnishings and apparatus. o Erosion and Sedimentation Control installation, maintenance, removal, and restoration. (Compliance with NPDES, Will County, and Village of New Lenox permit requirements). Site excavation and grading. Construction of concrete pedestrian path, asphalt pedestrian path, asphalt ROW drive, asphalt sports court with color coat, permeable pavers, natural stone steppers, stabilized decomposed granite, play surfacing (Poured-inPlace Rubber and Engineered Wood Fiber), tiered stone outcrop, and fishing platform. Construction and installation of owner furnished items: play apparatus, site feature elements, shade structure, and drinking fountains (including service to). Construction of landscape areas including (but not limited to) turf lawn, ecogarden, rain garden, emergent and shoreline planting, and native restoration. A certified or Cashier's check payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. In addition, each Bidder shall submit proof of insurance demonstrating the Bidders insurability. Failure to provide a Bid Bond or proof of insurance may render the bid incomplete and subject to rejection. The Owner will require the successful bidder to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bond for the total contract. The New Lenox Community Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Village. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
