The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. GRTC requests the installation and service of a motorized fence that will be able to open as well as close. The existing manual gate and fence are constructed at one location on the property. GRTC's bus entrance /exit lot. There is a gate at this location, however there are no mechanical/electrical components and that will need to be added/updated so the gate is fully operational. It will be up to the bidder to produce the best solution as far as the type of mechanical upgrades needed to make the gate open and close in an efficient manner. The gate currently opens and closes in a sliding manner from left to right. We want to keep that manner of operation in place, we want the gate mechanically efficiently, so it will open and close in a mechanical manner. We are looking to keep the gate in the same location as GRTC feels that it is in the most efficient location. These gates will function as security barriers to keep unauthorized personnel out of the property as well as help with securing personnel and property in the facility. The gates will be accessed by badges as well as stationary transponders on the buses and vans. It is imperative that the winning contractor be able to work with Security 101 and the "Brivio System "when it comes to installing and integrating the current transponders with the upgrades made to make the gate mechanical. The motorized gates will have to be equipped with badge readers as well as transponder readers that will have to work through Security 101 and the "Brivio" system to allow access. The contractor will be responsible for providing the necessary components to make these motorized gates completely functional. The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all plans, equipment, materials, supplies, and manufactured articles, and for furnishing all transportation and services, including fuel, power, and essential communications, and for the performance of all labor, work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the specifications as herein defined. The Contractor shall verify all dimensions in the field and shall check field conditions continuously during construction. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for any inaccuracies built into the work. The Contractor shall inspect related and appurtenant work and shall report in writing to the GRTC Representative any conditions which will prevent proper completion of the work. Any required removal, repair, or replacement caused by unsuitable conditions shall be done by the Contractor at their sole cost and expense.
