Provide services for roadside and overhead sign lighting Purpose: The intent and purpose of this Invitation to Bid (IFB) is to establish a time and materials contract with up to three (3) qualified electrical contractors to service and maintain the roadside and overhead sign lighting throughout the RMTA system on an as-needed basis. This would include any equipment currently owned by the Authority or any that may be acquired during the term of the contract. The Authority does not guarantee or warrant that any selected firms will receive any particular volume or dollar amount of work hereunder. Award: The Authority reserves the right to make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. The award(s) will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s), up to three (3), meeting the requirements of the solicitation. The Authority reserves the right to conduct any tests it may deem advisable and to make all evaluations. The Authority also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the Authority to be in its best interest. Bid Acceptance Period: Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, the bid may be withdrawn at the written request of the bidder. If the bid is not withdrawn at that time it remains in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled. Cancellation of Contract: The either party reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the other. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relive the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation. The Authority strongly encourages the submission of bids by contractors whose principal businesses are located in the Richmond Metropolitan Area and further strongly encourage such contractors to utilize the services of local subcontractors and vendors. The Authority strongly encourages minority-owned and women-owned businesses to submit proposals for this contract. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals submitted, and to waive informalities in bidding, as it may deem in its best interests. Question Deadline 06/03/2025 at 4:00 PM ET
