Garbage Removal Services The Old Bridge Township Board of Education is requesting bids for Garbage Removal Services. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and bid identification number on the outside, and must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the "Old Bridge Township Board of Education'', for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000). All Bid Bonds submitted must be signed and witnessed with original signatures. The Board will not accept facsimile or rubber stamp signatures on the Bid Bond. Failure to sign the Bid Bond by either the Surety or Principal shall be deemed cause for disqualification of the bid. Bids must be delivered to the Business Administrator at the above place, by the hour named. The Board of Education will assume no responsibility for bids mismailed or misdirected. Each bidder shall submit with its bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company stating that it will provide the bidder if successful, with a performance in the full amount of the contract. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et. seq., and NJAC 17:27. Bidder should be aware of the following statutes that represent "Truth in Contracting laws: · N.J.S.A. 2C:21-34, et seq. governs false claims and representations by bidders. It is a serious crime for the bidder to knowingly submit a false claim and/or knowingly make material misrepresentations. · N.J.S.A. 2C:27-10 provides that a person commits a crime if said person offers a benefit to a public servant for an official act of performed or to be performed by a public servant, which is a violation of official duty. · N.J.S.A. 2C:27-11 provides that a bidder commits a crime if said person, directly or indirectly, confers or agrees to confer any benefit not allowed by law to a public servant. · Bidders should consult the statutes or legal counsel for further information. Bids must be marked as specified and submitted on a bid form that will be furnished to you. All bids must be received by the time specified above to be considered. The contractor and any subcontractor thereof engaged under a contract pursuant to the specification is subject to and shall comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 34:11-68 with respect to record keeping of all individuals engaged in the collection or transportation of solid waste or recyclable material, excluding recycled or reclaimed asphalt or concrete, collected under this contract. By entering into a contract the contractor acknowledges the provisions of N.J.S.A. 34:11-68 with regard to the authority of the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development to investigate the contractor or subcontractor's wages and any penalties that may result from failure to comply. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A 2(s, t, x, y), 18A:18A-4 (a), 18A:18A-22, 18A:39-1-27.
