Site work for a water / sewer project in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of October 2, 2025, Project was awarded but waiting for the contract to be signed then a pre-con meeting will be set. The Project consists of construction to replace 862 linear feet of 8-inch 8-12 feet deep ACP gravity sanitary sewer at different sections, including multiple laterals and appurtenances in roadways and associated work. Construction will require bypass of existing gravity sewer flows. The project location is within the Township of Old Bridge, NJ within portions of Steinhardt Avenue, Midway Road, Shirley Boulevard and Crawford Place, and therefore uniformed law enforcement officers and partial closure of these roads and associated detour will be required for the project. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum price basis. Question Deadline 07/17/2025 All inquiries for clarification of any matters concerning the Bidding Documents shall be made in writing to Michael Roy, the OBMUA Executive Director/Authority Engineer, by email (mroy@obmua.com). Bids must be made on standard proposal forms, in the manner designated and must be received in sealed opaque envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority, 15 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857 and must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, providing that said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00, and be delivered at the place and on or before name above. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. As per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 a bidder may request that its bid be withdrawn due to a "mistake" on the part of the bidder, as defined in the Law. Otherwise, no bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set forth for the opening of the bids. Bidders are required to comply with all relevant Federal and State Statutes, Rules and Regulations including but not limited to the applicable provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended (42 USC 2000d-2000D-4A), the discrimination and affirmative action provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 through 10:2-4, the New Jersey Law against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1, the rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto, the State requirement for bidders to supply statements of ownership (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2) The Bidder is required to comply with the New Jersey business registration provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 which imposes certain requirements upon a business competing for, or entering into, a contract with a public contracting agency. A copy of a Business Registration Certificate issued by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue for the Contractor and subcontractors may be submitted with the proposal but must be received prior to the award of Contract.
