Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Universal City, Texas. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of June 17, 2025 bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. Request for Proposal process a contractor to erect a pavilion and covered walkways over an existing courtyard and sidewalks. The proposal will be a turn-key job for construction services, preparation work, installation, equipment, material and labor necessary to complete this project. If you are planning to bring the proposal to the district office, you will need an extra hour or more to get through the base visitor's center to get a pass. In order to get a base pass, you will need to contact the district ahead of time, so that we can send your name to the base visitor center. If you would like to tour the project site, please contact Brandon Casey, Director of Maintenance and Operations for the District at 210-833-7546 (casey@rfisd.net). covered walkways at both the High School and Elementary School campuses. The selected contractor shall provide a pavilion and covered walkways over existing sidewalks and courtyard. Walkway covers and pavilion shall be constructed of prefabricated metal. Services will include all work necessary to complete a project including parts, equipment, labor, materials, and lifts to install components. All work performed shall be coordinated with the Director of Maintenance and Operations or designated representative. Warranty on all parts and labor shall be provided at a minimum of 12 months. Services requested: 1. High School. Construction of a pre-engineered metal pavilion over an existing concrete slab. Approximate dimensions of pavilion are 55' x 77' x 15' eave height. Gable roof with slope 2:12. Slab is not designed to support any structure. Concrete piers are necessary for this structure. 2. High School. Construction of a pre-engineered metal walkway cover over existing concrete sidewalks. Approximate total length of covered walkway is 350' x 12' x 10' eave with segmented sections to accommodate turns in the existing path. A small covered loitering area is needed on an adjacent slab approximately 25' x 45"x 12' eave. Gable roof with slope 2:12. Sidewalks and slab are not designed to support any structure. Concrete piers are necessary for these structures.
