Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Universal City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Contractors are invited to submit sealed bids for Flintstone Drive Street Improvements. The scope of work includes reconstructing approximately 4074 SY of asphalt pavement including 1537 LF of curbs, 620 SY of driveway aprons and Installing 1 curb inlet, 203 LF of 18" HDPE drainpipe tie into existing junction box. Contractor shall use subcontractors for no more than 50% of the Contract Work. Written questions may be submitted on online on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025. The Notice to Proceed will be issued at a Pre-Construction meeting with the selected contractor within 1 week after the bid is awarded. Contractor will have 21 days to begin work from the Notice to Proceed, with 100 days for Substantial Completion and 15 additional days for Final Completion. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted on the bid form furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 days after the above scheduled closing time set for the receipt of bids. This project is being funded in whole or in part by the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). All federal CDBG requirements will apply to the contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with President's Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, sex, or national origin. The City of Universal City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any formalities, and to select the bid deemed in the best interest of the City.
