Installation of three submersible propeller mixers into one equalization tank. The mixers would allow settled solids to stay in suspension thus reducing treatment impacts at the facility. Includes mounting equipment, installation costs, motors, and mixers. Does not include electrical costs for installation, which will be paid from line item budget. The WRRF equalization tanks have been actively used for the past 5 years to modulate for entering the facility. The equalization allows for reduced chemical usage in the plant, to maintain adequate water supply for the power plant, and to reduce shock loading to the biological process at the plant. The current mixers are too small to function, and technology has changed drastically in regards to mixing technologies. As of May 21, 2025, The project is include in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
