The project consists of renovating the Pratt truss and pin-connected bowstring bridge and relocating it from its current location to Sidney's Tawawa Park. DBE GOAL 5%: Question Deadline 06/02/2025 at 1:00 PM ET Any and all questions regarding the referenced project must be submitted through electronically. Each Bid must include the required submissions per the Bid specifications and must be accompanied by either a Bid bond in an amount of 10% of the Bid amount or by certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid amount. A 100% Performance Bond will be required after the Contract is awarded to cover the installation period. Bid Bonds shall list the City of Sidney and the Ohio Department of Transportation as Obligee and be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the electronic Bid documents, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the Contract price. Only ODOT prequalified Contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Prequalification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 30 percent (30%) of the total original price. Substantial completion of the project shall include all items required for the project to function as intended with only minor punch list items left to be resolved. Substantial completion of the project shall be on or before October 31, 2025. Final completion of the project and readiness for final payment shall be on or before November 14, 2025. We will be issuing Addendum #1 extending the completion dates as follows: Substantial - September 15, 2026 and Final - September 30, 2026. Substantial Completion: Two hundred fifty dollars and no cents ($250.00) per day beyond the substantial completion date. Final Completion: Five hundred fifty dollars and no cents ($500.00) per day beyond the final completion date. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Sidney reserves the right to waive any irregularities, to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the bidder deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Sidney.
