Okeechobee County Fire Rescue has been awarded grant funding from the Community Development Block Grant Program Agreement No: IO173 for the building hardening of Fire Rescue Station #1 and Fire Rescue Station #2. The County is currently entertaining submittals and interviewing qualified firms for the specified grant improvements at these two essential locations. These grant dollars shall be used to replace all non-impact glass windows at each station as well as the full replacement of all commercial apparatus bay doors and openers to meet Miami Dade N.O.A and the grant specified 185 mph wind load. The Proposer, if awarded the Contract and the proposal amount is $100,000 or more, will execute and file acceptable performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price within ten (10) calendar days after written notice of the award of contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90)calendar days after the date set for opening of bids.
