The City of Davenport is accepting bids for the Kimberly Downs Road and Bridge Avenue Reconstruction Project. This project is located along Kimberly Downs Road from Bridge Avenue to E 33rd Street and along Bridge Avenue from Kimberly Road to Kimberly Downs Road. The proposed improvements include, but are not limited to, the furnishing of all labor for the removal of the PCC roadway for the length of the project, full depth aggregate stone base material, geo fabric / grid materials if needed, reconstruction of the roadway with a PCC rigid pavement section, reset all existing utility surface features to finish grade, replacement of the adjacent driveway approaches, reconstruction of sidewalk at the intersections including ADA ramp construction, topsoil and seeding, and erosion control. Bids must be submitted through the City of Davenport e-bidding system (https://davenport.ionwave.net); no emails, faxes, paper copies or any other submission method will be accepted. Within the system, each tab of the Invitation to Bid must be reviewed and responded to accordingly. Question Deadline 05/28/2025 at 10:00 AM CT Question Cut Off Date For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid by October 15, 2025 unless modified by change order. Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be $1000.00 per day The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so.
