2nd Avenue from Garden Street to Highland Avenue (CR 573) will be resurfaced via a mill and overlay of the existing pavement.. The roadway will be milled to a depth of three inches (3"). After milling, areas requiring hot mix asphalt pavement repairs as indicated on plans or as field determined by the Engineer will be repaired by excavating ten inches (10") deep, installing geotextile fabric (if & where directed), six inches (6") of dense graded aggregate and four inches (4") of hot mix asphalt 19M64 base course. The roadways will then receive a three inch (3") hot mix asphalt 12.5M64 surface course overlay. 7th Avenue from Lippincott Avenue to W. High Street will be reconstructed via full depth reconstruction. The roadway will be excavated to a depth of nine inches (9"), backfilled with four inches (4") of dense graded aggregate base course and three inches (3") of hot mix asphalt 19M64 base course. The roadway will then receive a two inch (2") hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course overlay. In addition to reconstruction or resurfacing of the existing roadways, select areas of concrete curb, driveway aprons and sidewalk within project limits will be replaced where indicated. Concrete gutter will be installed where indicated. Existing monolithic concrete curb and gutter on 2 nd Avenue will be removed as necessary to accommodate the proposed concrete curb. Traffic striping, symbols, and signage will be installed where indicated. Manholes will be reset or reconstructed to accommodate grade changes and will receive new castings and covers. Topsoil, fertilizer and seed will be placed at all disturbed areas. 2025 Road Program - 2nd Avenue & 7th Avenue The Borough of Haddon Heights reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Borough of Haddon Heights. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Borough of Haddon Heights in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Borough of Haddon Heights, is the lowest responsible bidder and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law.
