The Project will provide new water mains in the immediate vicinity of the Potomac River Water Treatment Plant. The Project includes approx. 2,750 linear feet of 42" pipeline, approx. 1,730 linear feet of 16" pipeline, and small quantities of 24" and 12" pipeline, plus air valves, gate valves and other appurtenances as set forth on the Bidding Documents prepared by Dewberry Engineers Inc. (Dewberry). Questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Dewberry in writing by 5:00 p.m. on June 11, 2025. Questions received after this time may not be answered. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. All work shall be substantially completed within 156 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 246 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor's license on the date of Bid opening. A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of Bids. BCPSWD reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
