Please include detailed proposals for each of the following projects: The contract work - furnish all required labor, materials, equipment, implements, parts, and supplies necessary for the track resurfacing specified, including the D-zone area (high jump), long jump area, and pole vault area. The product - an impermeable synthetic running track wear surface composed of self-leveling poured on fluid of elastomeric polyurethane with embedded EPDM rubber granules. The approximate depth of the topcoat is to be 5 mm. o The synthetic surfacing contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary for the proper completion of the track resurfacing and related work specified. o The work specified shall be performed during a period and in a manner acceptable to the owner. o This project is to be completed by Aug. 1, 2025. o The contractor must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the installation of poured-in-place, twocomponent elastomeric polyurethane synthetic track surfacing. o This project at Spring Mills High School will consist of a resurfacing of the existing track where the synthetic base component shall remain in place. o The turf athletic field and track drainage grate system will be protected during installation. The contractor is liable for any damages. o Thoroughly clean the existing track surface of all dirt and debris in preparation for resurfacing. o Repair track along oval and D-zone where the subsurface has delaminated from the subbase concrete/asphalt. o Repair any track defects such as holes, gouges, imperfections, etc. o Prepare, clean, and repaint the asphalt areas in each D-zone (same color as track resurface) o Apply the track resurfacing material: o UV stabilized full-pour elastomeric polyurethane synthetic surfacing with embedded textured finish RED in color o Include EPDM granulates throughout the topcoat of size 1-3mm of same color as surface and mechanically integrated with the UV stabilized elastomeric polyurethane to the full depth of the wearing layer. Wearing layer to be 5 mm in thickness. o Note: exchange zones to be GRAY in color. o An experienced track striping contractor shall layout and paint (with manufacturers recommended pigmented paint) all track lines, new lanes, numbers, and markings as required and specified by the current WVSSAC High School Track events per current NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations). o The General Contractor shall provide temporary barriers and signage to prevent public entry to the construction area to protect it from damage during installation.
