Renovation of a military facility in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: BASE BID INSPECT 5 PART DOOR SYSTEMS 3.7 CONTRACTOR shall inspect all mullion motors in hangers 305, 306 and 308. 3.8 CONTRACTOR shall inspect all mullion arrestors in hangers 305, 306 and 308. 3.9 CONTRACTOR shall inspect tears in outer fabric of hanger 305, 306 and 308. 3.10 CONTRACTOR shall inspect weather stripping on mullions in hangers 306 and 308. 3.11 CONTRACTOR shall inspect wind-locks in hangers 305, 306 and 308. 3.12 CONTRACTOR shall inspect all lifting straps, cables, and reels in hangers 305, 306 and 308. 3.13 CONTRACTOR shall inspect all rollers, wear blocks, and limit switches in hangers 305, 306, and 308. 3.14 CONTRACTOR shall inspect all dead-man switches in hangers 305, 306 and 308. 3.15 CONTRACTOR shall check if doors operate without undue noise. 3.16 CONTRACTOR shall inspect doors for any excessive wear. 3.17 CONTRACTOR shall inspect door for any excessive corrosion. 3.18 CONTRACTOR shall look for missing screws. 3.19 CONTRACTOR shall insure protective buttons are in place. 3.20 CONTRACTOR shall insure wear blocks are tight. 3.21 CONTRACTOR shall insure batten strips ends are straidght. 3.22 CONTRACTOR shall insure electrical door mullion pushbuttons, interlocks, limit switches, and crank limit switches, operate properly. 3.23 CONTRACTOR shall insure light bulbs on control panel operate properly. 3.24 CONTRACTOR shall insure no water is in the control panel. 3.25 CONTRACTOR shall insure the control panel has no loose wires. oil, hoists have the proper oil level, and a hand crank is available. 3.27 CONTRACTOR shall insure the hoists brakes function properly, and are adjusted. 3.28 CONTRACTOR shall insure the hoists fan motor is not damaged or cracked, the belts and wire rope are intact, and the wire rope is intact. 3.29 CONTRACTOR shall insure the hoists are firmly mounted. 3.30 CONTRACTOR shall insure the hoists belt drums are intact. 3.31 CONTRACTOR shall visual inspect chain hoist sprockets. 3.32 CONTRACTOR shall inspect chain for manufactures wear tolerance. 3.33 CONTRACTOR shall insure counterweight system is attached. 3.34 CONTRACTOR shall insure mullion/extension and guiderails aligned at hinge. 3.35 CONTRACTOR shall insure mullion hoist hooks and chains intact. 3.36 CONTRACTOR shall make sure mullions travel smoothly in pit. 3.37 CONTRACTOR shall check slip clutch settings. 3.38 CONTRACTOR shall inspect bottom beam for damage. 3.39 CONTRACTOR shall insure reversing edge is functional. 3.40 CONTRACTOR shall insure safety arrestors are working and lubricated. 3.41 CONTRACTOR shall ensure wind locks are working and lubricated. 3.42 CONTRACTOR shall insure safety arrestor C-clips in place. 3.43 CONTRACTOR shall ensure guide rails are firmly mounted, no missing screws, free of deformation, operated without vibration, and guide rail joints are smooth and pinned. 3.44 CONTRACTOR shall provide GOVERNMENT with detailed report of discrepancies within 30 calendar days of inspection completion date. 3.45 OPTION 1: REPAIR DOOR 308 3.45.1 Replace motor brakes on all 5 doors. 3.45.2 Replace Control Panel Lights approx. 30 bulbs 3.45.3 Service all mullion switches and proximity sensos, four total. 3.46 OPTION 2: REPAIR DOOR 306 3.46.1 Service all limit and proximity switches, four total. 3.46.1 Replace all guide rollers on door three, approx. 30 rollers 3.47 OPTION 3: REPAIR DOOR 305 3.47.1 Replace all bush button control lights on control panel, approx. 30 bulbs. 4. [Reserved] 5. Standard Products 5.1 The CONTRACTING OFFICER and COR must approve all material submittals prior to procurement. Materials substitution after submittal approvals shall not be allowed without approval by KO. 5.2 Materials such as sealants, adhesives, water-proofing or fire-proofing must comply with standards set forth by UL, ASTM, and IEC and listed for the specific use intended. 5.3 CONTRACTOR shall allow for a 2 week turnaround on all RFI, Submittal, Permits, or badging requests to allow for GOVERNMENT review. 5.4 In the event of conflict among the Specifications, Drawings and/or Technical Instructions, the CONTRACTOR shall bring such conflict to the attention of the CONTRACTING OFFICER immediately for resolution before proceeding with the work involved. 5.5 Documentation shall be provided for each submittal. As a minimum, the documentation shall include the AF 3000 cover, a catalog sheet of the specific product and the product technical information. When required, a sample of the product/equipment or material must accompany the submission. 5.6 All chemical materials to be used in this SOW shall be documented on the Transient Organizational Hazardous Material Inventory form. An SDS (Safety Data Sheet) shall be submitted for all chemicals listed. 6. Project Closeout Documents 6.1 Contractor shall submit a 1354 Worksheet to COR within 10 days of project completion. 6.2 Contractor shall submit Mechanical Testing and Balancing Report on all mechanical system/ component installations to COR within 10 days of project completion. 6.3 Contractor shall submit Release of Claims to COR within 10 days of project completion. 6.4 Contractor shall submit Red Line Drawings to COR within 10 days of project completion. 6.5 Contractor shall submit 1 Year Warranty letter signed by company representative to COR within 10 days of project completion. 7. Required Warranties 7.1 The Contractor shall provide a 1 Year Warranty on all material, labor, and installed equipment IAW this SOW and in conjunction with any additional manufacturer's warranties.
