Site work for a residential development in Norfolk, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a residential development.
Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority invites qualified builders to submit proposals for the purchase and development of 4 sites. The Developer, Builder may bid on any or all parcels at their discretion. The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority ("NRHA") invites qualified builders to submit proposals for the purchase and development of 4 sites. These sites will consist of either single-family detached or attached homes, strictly for homeownership located within Ballentine, Broad Creek, and the Willoughby neighborhoods. The Developer/Builder may bid on any or all parcels at their discretion. Licenses: Respondents must be currently licensed as a Class A Builder and provide a valid, current business license with the City of Norfolk, Virginia with their proposal. Small business enterprises, Section 3 businesses, and Minority and Women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals NRHA is offering these lots for purchase by builders or individuals; however, the construction is to be accomplished by a qualified preferred NRHA Builder from the Builders Bench. This RFP is to encourage superior design and construction standards for homes of traditional design. The Authority is seeking builders with the goal of quality, both in construction and customer service. The selected house plans and preferred building styles aim to encourage proposals to include equal or better house designs in keeping with the neighborhood designs. (See Appendix C). The Authority has also set minimum lot prices. (See Appendix B). NRHA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if it is in the best interest of NRHA and to waive any informality in the evaluation of the proposals offered. NRHA reserves the right to award either one or multiple contract(s) and/or to award alternates. The ultimate assignment of lots is solely left to the discretion of NRHA. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
