Longsjo Middle School (98 Academy Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420). The elevator was the original passenger elevator in the original building that was Fitchburg High School until 2000. Given the location of the motor in the attic above the fourth floor of the 200,000 square foot building, the project will require the following Rebuild the 1936 OEM Elevator Hoist Motor Disassemble the hoist motor in the attic machine room, create pathway and rigging to transport the motor components to the attic hatch and lower to the top floor. Transport components down the stairs to ground level for loading (will require lift gate truck). Complete rewinding and repair off-site in a repair facility. Return components and reverse procedure to return to the attic machine space. Reassemble the motor and reinstall on the mechanism Reconnect power and test and adjust operation.
