Renovation of an educational facility in Franklin, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30, 39M, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a contractor to replace 280 Linear feet of outdoor UV rated Navy Blue wall padding located at 218 Oak St. Franklin High School Winning Contractor must submit a Certificate of Insurance with evidence of General Liability and Automobile Liability with a minimum of $2,000,000, aggregate, each and in case of General Liability naming the Town of Franklin as an additional insured for this Project, as well as Worker's Compensation per Statute. Per M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, the winning contractor will be required to submit a 50% payment bond to the Town. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible vendor, with supporting references with the lowest price. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Scope ofwork: Replace -280 linear feet of outdoor wall padding on Field Hockey/Soccer/Lacrosse field -Remove existing wall padding and clear debris from behind existing wall padding. -Ensure existing pressure-treated lumber is level and properly secured to block wall. -Secure z-clips to lumber. All fasteners to be coated, exterior screws. -Install new 3" poly pads with 3/4" MDO backer and 18 oz UV Navy blue resistant vinyl. -Custom cutting to be fabricated on-site for proper fit Estimated Cost: $35,000 Location- Franklin High School and Horace Mann Middle School 218 and 224 Oak St. Franklin MA. 02038
