Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify (Phase 1). Only qualified suppliers from Phase 1 have been invited to bid. Work Description: The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of the Tetsa River Bridge No. 1 located at km 584.6 on the Alaska Highway in British Columbia. The work under this contract generally includes: -Removal and localized repair of concrete at Piers 1 and 3. -Removal and repair of the concrete top surfaces at the North and South Abutments. -Replacement of existing jump span bearings with new bearings at Piers 1 and 3. Additional work requirements include: -Site preparation. -Traffic management and accommodation. -Environmental management and protection. -Development and implementation of a jacking and blocking plan. -Supply, placement, and finishing of all concrete repair work. -Supply and placement of Class 3 Bituminous Surface Treatment (BST) for road surface tie-ins adjacent to the abutments. -Milling of existing BST and offsite disposal. -Compliance with waste reduction practices, including reuse, recycling, and tracking of waste materials to minimize landfill disposal. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $1,000,001.00 and $5,000,000.00 (GST included).
