Site work and paving for a civil project in Big Bend, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Solicitation Id: SE-01 The pavement needs to be replaced and an interchange will be reconstructed. Rehabilitation project proposed; Construction engineering to replace the pavement of approximately 7.5 miles of IH 43 from STH 83 to the STH 164 interchange in Waukesha County. The concrete pavement will be replaced and culverts and drainage will be improved. The STH 164 interchange will be reconstructed as a diverging diamond interchange with intersection improvements, storm sewer, traffic signals, and other incidental work. Various bridges along the IH 43 corridor will also receive joint and surface repair along with deck preparation and concrete overlays. Retaining walls will also be constructed. Construction stages to complete the concrete pavement replacement include construction traffic crossovers for bidirectional traffic on one side of the freeway to allow the concrete pavement to be placed on the other. The STH 164 interchange will be constructed under full ramp and STH 164 closures.
