** of June 4, 2025 project is not yet been awarded, anticipated award date June 5th** SCOPE: Daviess County Fiscal Court is seeking a qualified vendor to replace the roof of the Schertzinger Building. LOCATION: Project location will be at the Schertzinger Building located at 221 Allen Street, Owensboro, KY 42303. SITE INSPECTION: The work site, building, and conditions can be viewed by appointment by contacting the specifications contact detailed on page one (1) of this document. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS: a. Roof will be taken down to decking free of all staples, nails, and debris. b. Remove from Owner's property and legally dispose of all waste materials. c. Ice and water dam in valleys, roof penetrations, and around all eaves of the building. d. Contractor is to ensure watertight building at the end of the workday and tarp roof in case of inclement weather while project is ongoing. e. If leaks occur, Contractor will repair at their expense. f. Any damage to landscaping will be replaced at the Contractor's expense. g. Replace all roof penetrations with Dektite rubber boot flashing or equivalent to manufacturer's specification. h. Replace drip edge. i. Gutters and downspouts to be replaced. j. Replace box style roof vents and ridge vents. k. Contractor will maintain appropriate public safety throughout length of project. l. Contractor will be responsible for closing of sidewalk if necessary attaining proper permitting. m. Owner will make roof color selection after bid award. Contractor to supply color samples. n. Site visits can be scheduled through the Specification Contact on the first page of this document. WARRANTY: A one (1) labor warranty and one (1) year workmanship warranty along with the manufacturer's warranty on shingles is due at completion. WORK SITE: Any damage to the building roof or County property made by the Contractor shall be repaired fully at the Contractor's expense.
