The City of Owensboro is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all labor, material, equipment, incidentals and supervision needed to complete noted boiler replacement, per the bid specifications. Questions Due Date: Jun 5th 2025, 5:00 PM CDT online submission. The City of Owensboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in said bids. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK 1.1 This project shall include, but not be limited to the following improvements: A. Remove existing condensing boiler and replace with new. 1. Demolition a. Boiler room contains two boilers. Existing boiler that is still operational is to remain. Existing boiler to remain is to be operational during conditions when building requires heating. Coordinate all shut down requirements with Owner prior. b. Disconnect from existing 6 main supply and return hot water piping. Remove existing shutoff valves at each connection and replace with new. c. Disconnect from main gas supply line. Remove and replace existing gas regulator. d. Disconnect from existing 8 combustion air inlet and 8 vent. e. Disconnect from existing power supply circuit. Remove existing disconnect switch and portion of conduit for install of new boiler.
