Daviess County Fiscal Court is seeking a qualified vendor to construct a preengineered metal building and attached offices per the bid specifications and drawings at the West Daviess County Landfill located at 7772 KY-815, Owensboro, KY 42301. Questions regarding the project scope, drawings, specifications or any other aspect of this bid can be submitted to the Contract Contact of this document (specified on Page 1 of this document) by Thursday, June 19, 2025. The liquidated damages amount for failure to achieve substantial completion on or before the stated completion date on the Bid Form (Section 2.0) shall be $1,000.00 (One Thousand Dollars) for each calendar day of delay until the work is complete. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Daviess County Fiscal Court, in an amount no less than 5.0 % of the total bid price. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 90 days after the date bids are opened. The bidder may withdraw their bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for the opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. The successful bidding contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond for the total amount of the bid price as security for the faithful performance of the contractor's obligations. The contractor must furnish the Performance Bond before the order to proceed with construction. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities in said bids. The right is reserved to award bids based on the best interest and/or what is most advantageous to the County. The County also reserves the right to consider as a part of the bid evaluation the stated warranty, stated delivery schedule and payment terms. Award will be made, according to the opinion of the Daviess County Fiscal Court, to the best evaluated bid.
