The Housing & Redevelopment Authority of Virginia, MN will accept separate bids forthe furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,equipment, and services necessary for theHead Start - Tenant Improvement Project (Phase II) including all associated work required to install / repair same as shown in bid documents A certified check or bank draft, payable tothe order of The Housing & RedevelopmentAuthority of Virginia, MN or a satisfactorybid bond executed by the Bidder(s) and anacceptable surety, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submittedwith each bid. No less than minimum salaries and wagesset forth in the contract documents must bepaid on this project (including the higher applicable minimum wage requirement of Federal Prevailing Wage Law - Davis BaconAct and State of Minnesota Prevailing WageLaw - Minnesota Statues 177.41 through177.44). Contractors must take affirmativeaction to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminatedagainst because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status,age, sexual orientation, disability, familialstatus or status with regard to public assistance. HUD, Section 3 Compliance & Documentation are required on this project asstipulated in the Bid Documents and HUDStandards. Successful bidders must furnish and pay forsatisfactory performance and paymentbonds, in the penal sum of the full amountof the contract awarded.
