Each bid shall include a five percent (5%) bid security in the form of a bid bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company. The Jefferson College Fine Arts Building Scene Shop Roof Repair/Replacement project consists of removal and replacement of EPDM and insulation material and affiliated sheet metal work on approximately 3400 square feet of roof surface. Jefferson College is soliciting proposals to lawfully contract for the Jefferson College Fine Arts Building Scene Shop Roof Repair/Replacement at the Hillsboro Campus. Jefferson College Fine Arts Building Scene Shop Roof Repair/Replacement This project includes repair/replacement of the Jefferson College Fine Arts Building Scene Shop Roof which is approximately 3400 square feet, specifically: Roof Scope: o Remove existing EPDM and roof insulation down to concrete deck o Mechanically fasten 1 base layer of 2.5 Poly Iso insulation to concrete deck o Adhere 1/4 " tapered insulation set in two-part adhesive o Adhere 1/2 " HD coverboard over Poly Iso Insulation set in two-part adhesive o Adhere .060 Mil EPDM using bonding adhesive (Firestone/Elevate) o Flash all walls and curbs using 20-year details Sheet Metal Scope: o Remove existing edge metal o Install New Pre-Manufactured .040 Alum. Edge metal o Install new 24ga shop formed counterflashing Selected contractor will be responsible for all required permitting. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder and to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality on all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days. All bidders must provide a sworn affidavit affirming participation in a federal work authorization program and stating that the bidder does not knowingly employ any person who is not authorized to work in the U.S. The contractor must comply with current Prevailing Wage laws and other statutory regulations as referred to in the specifications. This project is tax exempt.
