The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, or to re-advertise the project. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid in a manner required by the Instructions to Bidders. Miami-Dade County, as represented by Miami-Dade Aviation Department ("MDAD"), requires the services of one (1) qualified, licensed General Contractor to provide construction services. This project will focus on upgrading twenty-two (22) mechanical rooms at MIA, E satellite on the first, second, and fourth floors. The scope of work includes but is not limited to, replacing the air handling units' (AHU) mechanical and electrical components, the HVAC controls, and variable frequency drives (VFD). The awarded Contractor's responsibilities will encompass repairing all structural issues and addressing any code violations. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Project management and coordination o Mobilization o Selective demolition. o New ductwork and plumbing are associated with the equipment replacement. o New controls and components associated with the equipment replacement. o Fire sprinkler modifications. o Fireproofing and sealing penetrations. o Asbestos abatement to mechanical piping insulation. o Concrete and masonry restoration. o New doors and mechanical louvers were indicated in the plans. o Roofing inspections. o Concrete floor membrane waterproofing. o Caulking. o Fire stopping. o Stucco finish. o Re-painting walls and ceiling. o Fire extinguishers. o Remove and reinstall signs. o Remove and reinstall sprinkler piping to access repair areas. o New sprinkler piping where indicated in the report. o Rerouting, removing, and reinstalling plumbing piping to access repair areas. o New plumbing, where indicated in the report. o Rerouting, removing, and reinstalling duct work to access repair areas. o New duct work, where indicated in the report. o Temporary HVAC Packaged DX Units (2 each) for the project duration. o Rerouting, removing, and reinstalling light fixtures to access repair areas. o New light fixtures where indicated in the report. o Fire alarm and smoke detector testing, integration, and programming as indicated in plans. o CCTV testing, integration, and commissioning as indicated in plans The following SBE Measures are applicable to this solicitation: 1.00% Small Business Enterprise - Services subcontractor goal.
