Site work and paving for a civil project in Farwell, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This project consists of 1 contract, and includes the replacement of aged and undersized watermain along North Corning St. The watermain replacement includes approximately 2,950 feet of watermain. New valves, connections to existing watermain, capping of existing watermain, and all subsequent restoration (asphalt, concrete, gravel, grass, etc.) are part of this project. The project also includes replacement of service lines on Corning St. in accordance with ELGE's lead and copper rule. There is also a 4" meter and the meter structure that need to be replaced. The project also includes improvements to the Village's 150,000-gallon elevated pedestal spheroid water storage tank. Scope of improvements includes: clean and partial re-paint exterior where spot failures exist at the top of the tank with acrylic system, abrasive blast clean and repaint dry interior with epoxy system, abrasive blast clean and repaint wet interior with epoxy system, modify painter's rail outside the roof balcony, remove aviation lights, provide a new overflow flap gate with 24-mesh stainless steel screen, provide a hinged cover for the top platform hatch, provide a ladder extension at the condensate platform, provide fall prevention device on all ladders, provide a pressure transmitter, Install the RTU furnished by Owner's System Integrator, provide a tank mixer, Replace the expansion joint, provide a condensate drain line with check valve, provide new weatherproof gaskets on all roof hatches, provide a handhold at the painter's (bird) hatch, and provide a rigging lug on the transition cone above the top platform manhole. The project also includes Well and SCADA improvements to the Village's Water system at the wellhouse and water storage tank. The Well improvements scope of work includes providing a VFD for Well #4 and an output filter for well pump #4, providing mag meters at wells #1,2,4 and the iron removal plant effluent pipeline, and providing the necessary pipe and valve replacement and modification to complete the work. Bid alternates include one for a VFD, mag meter, and pump motor replacement for well #3, and another for motor replacements for pump #1 and #2. SCADA improvements scope of work includes: replacement of the RTU at the elevated water storage tank, provide low pressure, low temperature, and flood alarms at the wellhouse and provide intrusion, low pressure, and flood alarms at the water storage tank.
