The purpose of this project is to identify, develop, and implement new means and methods for implementing private property infiltration and inflow projects. The first ten years (2011-2020) of the PPI/I Program have demonstrated that the District is in the best position from the perspectives of program risk, oversight, and experience to research and evaluate new products and strategies for investigation, design, and construction of I/I reduction projects on private property. The project provides for District staff and contracted consultant services to research existing products and methods used in other programs nationally and globally but not yet tried at MMSD. Solutions will also be sought out for issues and challenges that have arisen through the District program for which there appears to be no existing product or strategy. Project scope for M10006 will plan, design, and construct pilot projects to reduce infiltration and inflow (II) from private property (PP) sources through innovative technologies, means, and/or methods that currently do not exist in the industry or exist but have not been proven in the region. There is no operating budget impact. As of May 23, 2025, The project is include in the County's 2024-2034 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
