The Meadville Area Sewer Authority will receive bids for Water Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement. The work covered by the Contract Documents shall include the following: Alternative 'A' of the project involves the replacement of approximately 85 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer with new 15i PVC sewer, service laterals, pavement restoration and all other appertaining work along Water Street. Alternative 'B' of the project involves the replacement of approximately 375 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer with new 15i PVC sewer, service laterals, pre-cast concrete manhole, pavement restoration and all other appertaining work along Water Street. Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check or a bid bond in the amount equal to not less than ten (10%) percent of the total base bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the instruction for Bidders in section of the specifications. Proposal security shall be made payable to the Meadville Area Sewer Authority. Additional fees may be incurred for postage and handling, as applicable. Northeast Blueprint & Supply will maintain the official plan holder is list. All bidders must be registered on the official plan holder's list in order to submit an official bid for consideration. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60-days after date of bid opening. This contract is subject to the higher of the Prevailing Wage Rate determinations. A copy of the prevailing wage rates is included in the Contract Documents. The Meadville Area Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding and to accept the bid serving the best interest of the Meadville Area Sewer Authority. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same. Bids shall be sealed and marked on the envelope, "Bids for Water Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement to be opened Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m." All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding and Contract Documents are to be directed to the ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the ENGINEER/ARCHITECT in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the ENGINEER/ARCHITECT as having received the Bidding Documents.
