This document constitutes a request for competitive, sealed responses, providing labor to install an independent group play feature(s) at Twin Lakes Recreation Area, 2500 Chapel Hill Road, Columbia, MO for the City of Columbia, Missouri (hereinafter referred to as City) as set forth herein. The City of Columbia, Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a contractor for the installation of City purchased playground equipment and features, as shown in Attachment 1. Playground features contain an independent group play features appropriate for ages 5 - 12 (five to twelve). Installation of playground equipment shall be at Twin Lakes Recreation Area; playground area is approximately eighty feet seven inches by forty-five feet six inches (80'7" x 45'6"). Permit Site Plan available upon request. Play and Park Structures are manufacturers of purchased equipment. Installation contractor shall be certified from the manufacturer to install any and all proposed equipment. All items shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's standards and specifications. A National Playground Safety Inspector shall oversee installation of playground. Any oral responses to any question shall be unofficial and not binding on the City of Columbia Bidder shall submit an original bid bond, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of base bid, to the Purchasing Division, prior to the bid closing date and time Contractor hereby agrees to complete the work in the base bid described no later than ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall agree to allow a deduction of one hundred ($100 .00) dollars and no cents per calendar day, from final payment as liquidated damages for each day that completion is delayed beyond said completion date established.
