The system must address both particulate and chemical safety hazards associated with sanding, cutting, and curing processes. The scope includes: Equipment Type and Performance Standards - Equipment needed: - Non-Spark Vented Back Downdraft Table - Portable Fume & Odor Control Downdraft Booth - Capable of supporting multiple concurrent users (12-24 students). - Downdraft and backdraft design with evenly distributed airflow. - Minimum capture velocity: 200 feet per minute. - Airflow capacity: 1,900 to 5,000 CFM depending on configuration. - Spark-free construction with AMCA spark class B blower fans. - Noise levels between 70-78 dBA at operator's workstation. - Includes modular filtration system: - Minimum of MERV 14 filters. - Multi-stage filtration with optional HEPA and activated carbon for resin and odor control. - Clean-out trays or dust pans for maintenance.
