Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project involves a base bid for the installation of ADA/PennDOT compliant curb ramps, with all necessary sidewalks, curbing, and sign relocation/installation at specified locations within Bristol Township. All material, labor, and equipment necessary shall be in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 and Township Standards. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with Article 15 of Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders and Document 00 21 13.1 Instructions - Submitting Electronic Bids, including but not limited to a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Township of Bristol and proof of insurance in accordance with Paragraph 1.10 of Document 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance bond for 100% of the amount of the contract, payment bond for 100% of the amount of the contract, and maintenance bond in such form as meets the approval of the Township of Bristol and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by the Township of Bristol. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as amended, and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for work valued at over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000). The project is subject to applicable requirements of the Township's Responsible Contractor Ordinance for work valued at over Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Bristol Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids. CURB RAMPS The Work to be done under this contract associated with curb ramps consists of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install curb ramps at specified locations within Bristol Township in accordance with the location specific designs to be provided by the ENGINEER at the pre-construction meeting. The Contractor will remove existing curbs, sidewalks, and/or curb ramps and place and compact the stone base for all curb ramps. The Contractor will install curb ramps, including depressed curb, vertical curb, sidewalk, and ADA/PennDOT compliant truncated domes, in accordance with the specific designs. The Contractor is also to replace any curb and sidewalk that are removed to facilitate the construction of compliant curb ramps in accordance with the contract requirements. The Contractor will remove all forms and finish all concrete surfaces. The Contractor will complete restoration of existing features, including roadway restoration, grading and seeding, incidental to items described in the measurement and payment Section 01 22 00. The Contractor will adjust utility elevations to finish grade, as necessary to facilitate the above work in accordance with ADA/PennDOT grading requirements, and coordinate with the appropriate utility company to accomplish this task. The Contractor will also relocate signage as required to facilitate the above work.
